Beware Of The Paraben

Paraben is a chemical that is used as preservatives by cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Recent research and studies has shown that this chemical has been found in breast cancer tumors. Parabens have also been known to mimic Estrogen, which is known to play a major role in the development of breast cancer.

Parabens are found in deodorants, shampoos, some moisturizers, shaving gels, makeup and toothpaste. Another concern is that Parabens may be a major factor of why there is an increase of young girls ages 7-11 that are reaching puberty at such an early age.

Here are some alternatives you can use. These are all Paraben-free products that I have currently started using:

TOM'S OF MAINE PRODUCTS
The Tom's of Maine line is all natural and paraben-free. They have an entire line from deodorant, bath soap, toothpaste and moisturizers. You can visit the website tomsofmainestore.com or some of their products are sold at your local Wallgreens and CVS stores.

ORGANIX'S MOROCCAN ARGAN OIL
The Organix's Moroccan argan oil line of shampoo and conditioner is paraben and sulfate free. This product line is also very affordable. I picked up a shampoo and conditioner for 5.29 each at Target. It comes in a 13oz. bottle. It smells great and leaves my hair clean and soft.

 LORAC AND PHYSICIANS FORMULA MAKEUP
Both Lorac and Physicians Formula are Paraben-free makeup lines. From foundation to concealer to powders, all products are all natural. Lorac's line is sold at Sephora and Physicians Formula products you can find on Amazon and Walmart stores.

These are are just some products that I decided to use. There are plenty more body and hair care products that are paraben-free. I advise you ladies to do your research and find a product that you love. It's time you open up your mind and discover what can harm your body and what can heal it. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me an email or comment below.
