3 Easy-To-make Homemade Deep Conditioners for Natural Hair

Good day Ladies, I wanted to share these 3 homemade deep conditioners that are easy to make and can save you some money in your bank. Instead of becoming a product junkie and spending money on all sorts of deep conditioners...you can use all natural foods and products and make your own!

For Manageability:

  • 1 large overripe banana(sliced)
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp pure vegetable glycerin
  • 2 tbsp pure honey
This homemade conditioner will improve the manageability of hair before styling. Believe it or not the banana minimizes shrinkage(ugh) and will soften the hair when its mixed with the other ingredients. The honey and glycerin which are both humectants and the olive oil will add moisture. This is great for ladies who want to get an easier blow-out or a better stretched style.

For Detangling:

  • 1 overripe avocado(sliced)
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup unrefined shea butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
This homemade conditioner is lubricating, thick, and heavy which will give your kinks slip, moisture, and hang for detangling. The apple cider vinegar  actually helps to flatten the cuticles for easier detangling, while the avocados, olive oil, and shea butter adds for lubrication and moisture. This is great for ladies who have thick hair and suffer from major shrinkage.

For Strengthening:

  • 4 tbs of extra virgin coconut oil
  • 2 tbs of pure honey
The coconut oil will bind to the hair which will reduce keratin loss. The honey which is a humectant will make the hair retain its moisture. So you will get both moisture and strength with this conditioner. This is great for ladies with really thick, dense, and naturally dry hair.

*For the Manageability recipe make sure you blend all ingredients and that there are no lumps. Same for the Detangling recipe. You can use a blender to make it easier. Both conditioners can sit in the hair for 30-45 minutes, then detangle and rinse. For the Strengthening recipe you want this mixture to be warm. You can make the mixture in a cup and let it sit in a large bowl of hot water for a few minutes. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. Don't completely rinse out this conditioner, rinse about 80-90% of it out your hair.
So there you go...all items can be found at local supermarkets. You will manage how much product you can make, you know all ingredients that your putting in your hair, and best of all....its ALL NATURAL.
