Natural Ways To Fight Dry Skin

Good day ladies...Summer is over and the Fall season is here. Soon winter will arrive. The winter season(cold weather) tends to make our skin extra dry. Here are some natural tips and ways to help keep your body and face moisturized and help eliminate dry skin....

CHOOSE YOUR SOAPS WISELY

Believe or not most soaps contribute to your skin drying out. Try to choose a pure soap, free of artificial fragrance or antibacterial properties. Both of them are unnecessary and work against keeping your skin healthy.

WHAT GOES INSIDE YOUR BODY COUNTS

Eating good fatty acids will go a long way towards soothing your dry skin. Try to include lots of Omega-3-rich foods in your diet. If you prefer to supplement you can do so with fish oil.

EXFOLIATE NATURALLY

Regular exfoliation does helps against dry skin cells and does wonders for your skin. There are many kinds of daily scrubs that you can purchase, but here is a simple homemade daily scrub recipe. It includes ground oats, ground almond meal, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Recipe is below:

take 2-3 teaspoons of raw oats and pulverize them in a grinder. Take the ground oats and mix in honey (the amount depends on how viscous you want the mix to be) and 1/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar until it creates a smooth texture. Add in 1 drop of basil oil or tea tree oil, which will help your skin heal faster.

SLATHER YOURSELF IN OILY GOODNESS

After exfoliating your skin, this is the perfect time to nourish it with your favorite oil. Believe it or not whatever you have in your kitchen cabinet will do. Anything from coconut oil for your body to jojoba oil for your face. Many people say you should put oil on your face, but doing research I have come to find that all the natural health gurus put this oil on their face and have beautiful, radiant, and clear skin.

FOOD ON THE INSIDE COUNTS ON THE OUTSIDE

Certain foods that you eat can help contribute to your skin. An avocado scrub will add moisture to dry skin. Oatmeal is equally well known for its healing properties. If you are not comfortable putting it on your face, try adding a cup of oats to your bath. You could either use a knotted stocking or take up the oats with your hands and rub against the skin and soak up the soothing goodness.
