Ways to Incorporate Maca Into your Daily Meals

I always put maca powder into my daily smoothies or juices. You can also put it in your drinks, cooked  foods, salads, puddings or yogurt. If your not to fond of the maca powder, they come in capsule form as well.

Here are a few recipes that I have tried that are quick and yummy:

Hot Maca Latte
  • A cup of warm almond milk
  • 2 couple of tablespoons of maca powder
  • 1 tablespoon of raw honey
  • a few dashes of ground cinnamon
*This is a great way to start the morning. Will give you a great boost to start your day without the crash of coffee.

Maca Butter
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of Almond Butter
  • dash of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of maca powder
* I mix until all the ingredients are mashed in together. I love to use this spread on whole wheat toast and I usually drizzle a little agave on top.

There are no known side effects of Maca, but like any other supplement it should not be taken in large amounts.  Don't add it to anything that's very hot because it will lose its benefits. If you have any Cancers related to hormones like testicular and ovarian be very cautious taking Maca. If you have liver issues or high blood pressure you should consult your doctor before taking Maca.
