The Powerful Benefits of Turmeric

Hey Ladies, this cold winter weather can take a toll on your body for sure. So for those that have been dealing with those winter aches and pains due to the cold weather or other reasons, and also for those who just want to introduce another super food into your diet.... here it goes!


Turmeric has tremendous benefits as an anti-inflammatory agent. Turmeric is a dried spice that has been  such a powerful medicine throughout the years. Its used to treat a wide variety of conditions such as chest pain, bruises, menstrual difficulties, hemorrhage, and so much more.

Turmeric also has been proven to aide in a number of other ways. For instance such as Heart Disease, Brain Health, several types of Cancers, Indigestion, Bacterial and Viral infections, Osteoarthritis, and my utmost favorite helps aide with Fat Metabolism and Weight Management.

It's a super powered anti-inflammatory that does the trick to soothe achy joints, and it's also a great source of both iron and manganese, as well as vitamin B6, fiber, and potassium.

Here is a DIY Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric- Almond Milk to get your dose of Turmeric to fight those aches and pains and for all the other benefits that Turmeric offers:




Ingredients
  • 1 cup of Almond Milk
  • 1/2 tsp of Turmeric
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of Agave
  • 1/2 tsp of Cardamom   
  • 1 tsp of honey   
Directions

Warm up almond milk in a small pot. Add your turmeric powder along with your other ingredients. Let all of the ingredients blend together. Cool for a minutes then enjoy


Recipe For A larger amount of Turmeric Almond Milk
  • 4 cups of almond milk
  • 1 1/4 cup if freshly juiced turmeric( this will be about 2 1/2 of the root)
  • 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of ground Cardamom(optional)
  • 1 tsp of Agave 
  • 3 tsp of honey

Directions

Add all ingredients to your blender. Blend and enjoy this soothing treat in the morning through the evening. You can adjust the taste to make it more or less sweet to your liking.

Turmeric can be found in any health food store around. Look for fresh turmeric root and make sure its fresh. Turmeric can also been found in ground powdered form to use on different foods such as vegetables, salads, soups and stews.
